A Quick Card

Quick Card...................

I still remember pre delivery when I used to just go through blogs and tried to grasp things about card making... 
Looking at the wonderful handmade cards on screen I used to wonder how can anyone make cards so flawless .. Thanks to my limited knowledge about dies and stamps and everything then....Yet...
 I often tried to make cards... sometimes spending my whole day ( with ofcourse pauses in between :) ) making a card with the limited resources that I had .. ( Read it as Tinted sheets, Pencil , Eraser , scissor, fevicol and some colors ..... ) Slowly I started building my supplies... Today I have a good collection but no TIME....... That's the way of life I guess........

Here's a quick card I made on order... Yes super quick ... and and I am totally in love with the embossing plates ( thank u so much JOVI ) ... I feel it adds life to the card .... I am loving it :)

This is my first attempt with distressing ..... I loved the effect :)

Jovi.......... I loved t he pearls :)....

CAS

CAS Card 

Yes ... A CAS card ....... 

This was made few months back but somehow I forgot to post it.....

I am not that comfortable with CAS cards...... Expressing your feelings in the lowest possible means :) ....... 

Since this was birthday card and normally we end up wishing the person with one of the few selected wishes, I wanted to convey the most of greetings through the card .......

What can bring more happiness in your life ???? I felt Love and Peace fills in all......

White Dots to resemble the peace and Red hearts for Love ...

But but but...... once you open the greetings explode :)... Its a circular folding card ... 

I made small inserts to allow me scribble.... Yes I can't do with out scribbling out my thoughts...

 I can just write write and write ........

That's how it looked when completely opened .....

That's the card with co-ordinating envelope .. 

I think my first CAS card turned out well so I made another for gifting .......

It went with few gifts ... all neatly packed .... ( Yes.. I am very precise about packing gifts .... )

 Life has changed a lot... Anaya i keeping me on my toes ...Gosh....... she is growing up so fast and I see myself struggling a lil to keep up with her pace .... Something new every moment ...... But am enjoying it wholeheartedly. Luv u baby :)

Well .... I used them to make a mini album .. Thanks to the creative mind of three BB girls at swap central ( Who says girls just chat to do TP ??? ) they come up with mind blowing ideas to make our minds work overtime ... WE are loving it girls ... keep it up......

Since we were not knowing who our partner will be the album had to be made generally ... 

which can suit anyone.....

The theme was ME... Yes ...... WE always make something or else for other's , so there has to be something for ME.... The recipient of the mini is supposed to fill up her details ....

Some quilling

Hi there friends,

Hope my blog buddies remember me :)

So am finally posting something after a long long and long time. My lil one has been taking up all my time now a days but am enjoying each and every moment with her. Its a blessing to watch her grow every moment .

Quilling seems to be the thing right now in crafting .. SO thought of trying my hands :) plus the advantage is I can sit with my quilling kit anywhere :). That's one of the reason I can't craft much now a days . My lil one is so curious that she wants each and every colorful thing she sees .......

Without much blabbering here is what I made .....

Initially I just made some em-bellies and then assembled them on envelopes. It was fun :) . I tried a variety of quilling techniques and happy with the way they turned out .. Not bad for a starter :) Right ????

I think this was the swirl design.. M not that fluent with the names though but I loved the way it turned out ...

And here are the final envelopes after packing . I made 40 of them :) .... 

And YEs I even made some in Warli ..... 

I know, looking at the hard core quillers there this is just the basic but atleast a start somewhere.... Do let me know your views......

Aditya's Birthday Hop :)

Welcome to Aditya's Birthday blog hop which  happens to be my first post for this year... Something or other is keeping me away from the blog world but but but ....

Right now we are all gearing up to celebrate the birthday of a wonderful person, he happens to be someone who is perceptive and cooperative to the point of being idyllic. Most of us in the blog hop know him through our common interest in crafting no one can deny knowing his honesty and candidness. He is one of the most accomplished paper crafter known to us and it is our wish for him, that he gets all that he aspires for in this new year. 

We wish him the best of everything ....   Happy Birthday Aditya and may you have the best of times with friends and family and an extremely crafty time ahead. We also hope that his store reaches to one and all in the crafting world and he hoards more of our favorite supplies with lesser rates :D :D

Now about my card.... Since I wanted to give a masculine look to the card I thought of using a vintage car with a matching envelope .... ( Boys, Bikes and Cars .............. inseparable and then what can be better than a royal vintage  :) ) and it fits in so aptly to wish a wonderful person the best a life can offer ...

The vintage cars are hand drawn... Sentiments from TPC studio - Greetings ( Creativita ) while the tag line is handwritten .

 Here's a close view of the vintage car .... ( Sorry for the quality of pics .... My mobile came handy when my camera ditched me :( )

November ATC's

Well well well.....way too late to post these but I received my ATC's in the late second half of December ..... then ots of other things kept me occupied plus I was waiting ( still waiting... :) ) to hear from my second ATC partner for November ....

Anyways Tons of thanks to Lucy and Khushboo Rathi  for the wonderful ATC's I received from them......Here's a pic ....

The one with blue flower was sent by Lucy... simple yet elegant and the second one was sent by Khushboo...M in love with the glazed effect... Thank you girls..:)

That's the cover..... I took the theme way too seriously ... Things I Love... and I love to make each thing to perfection ... and a card is incomplete without a proper envelope ....... 

I made two cards each for each of my partners. 

Nothing inspires me more than the nature with its ever changing hues.... Nature in a cold winter evening is something I love the most.. have tried to capture it in my water color painting....

My love for Warli is well known... 

Thanks Priya Venkat for the lovely and encouraging mail you sent me on receipt of the ATC.. ?You truly inspire me ... :)

The second ATC is also simple and I have tried to make a frame of things I love with things I love. .
